Welding technologies for every metal fabrication need: from the precision of TIG to the productivity of MIG/MAG, through to the strength of stick electrode and flux-cored wire welding, we guarantee solid joints, traceable processes and qualified personnel.

At Officine Tironi, every joint is the result of a balance between the welders' experience and digital process control, with temperature, speed and penetration parameters monitored in real time to reduce execution times and margins of error.

Thanks to this combination of expertise and technology, we guarantee consistent results, both for light and for medium-heavy fabrication.

MIG/MAG Welding

MIG/MAG welding (Metal Inert Gas / Metal Active Gas) allows high speed and deep penetration into the metal, making it ideal for load-bearing structures, machine bases and transformer enclosures, on both carbon steel and stainless steel.

TIG Welding

For precision work and visible components, Officine Tironi uses TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to ensure clean joints, free of slag, with minimal thermal distortion of the surrounding material. This technique is particularly suited to cases where the aesthetics of the joint are an integral part of the finished product's quality, for example on components intended to remain visible or on thin sheet metal where controlling heat input is essential to avoid distortion.

Stick electrode and flux-cored wire welding

When working with thick sheet metal or heavy fabrication, Officine Tironi uses stick electrode and flux-cored wire welding, techniques that ensure deep fusion and flawless mechanical strength even on substantial sections.

These are the reference technologies for industrial metal structures, beams, supports and components intended for large-scale plants, where joint safety and strength are priority, non-negotiable requirements.

The welding department works in close integration with the cutting, bending and surface treatment departments, allowing the entire production cycle to be managed with no intermediate steps between different suppliers and reducing overall delivery times.

Quality, control and process traceability

All welding processes are carried out according to WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) procedures and entrusted to qualified welders holding WPQR certification, in compliance with European and international standards. Every joint undergoes visual and dimensional checks to verify the absence of defects and ensure the full structural integrity of the finished item.

The entire department operates in compliance with the EN 1090 and ISO 3834 standards, which ensure not only excellence in the final result but also complete traceability of every stage of the process, from digital order planning through to quality control of the finished part.

Officine Tironi's goal is to deliver welding that is both functional and carefully finished: a product ready to enter directly into an industrial production cycle or to be installed on site with no further processing.
