Panelling is a mechanical process that allows multiple bends to be performed on a sheet of metal in a single automatic cycle, without manually repositioning the part between one bend and the next. The result is a finished panel, ready for welding, assembly or treatment.
Traditional bending generally requires manual intervention by the operator to reposition the part between one bend and the next. Panelling, on the other hand, automates the entire cycle: centring, handling and bending take place in sequence, reducing processing times and errors due to manual handling.
For panelling, Officine Tironi is able to work sheet metal with thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 3 mm, ensuring precision and quality even on light, large-format components.
The Salvagnini P4-2520 panel bender works with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and pre-coated materials (pre-galvanized, pre-painted), with different thicknesses and dimensions depending on project requirements.
